like a thorn that sticks in the side,
life with the passage of days shows that walking

steps beyond the topic. In the darkness

When looking at the sky is found the absence of uncertainty.

THE HORSE AS A THERAPEUTIC TOOL
Centre CADI Equinoteràpia MOIXERÓ officially defined as a Therapeutic Resource Center that leverages the ability of healing animals, especially Horses, to help adolescents and young people with social adjustment problems to overcome conflict and regain their ability to establish normalized relations with other people and their environment ..
All children and young people who use our center came largely from the IES HIGH BERGUEDÀ of Baga and have their residence in Baga, Guardiola Bergadà, Balance and Gósol, etc., and in many cases have been problematic in other residences for the extreme conflict, or street, detected pels Serveis Socials d'Atenció Primària.
La nostra tasca és of the employment plan to achieve these young people over 16 years ... and will receive a salary for their work of cleaning and caring for animals.
The reality is that, over time, children improve their health (both physical and mental), establish more normalized relations with parents and teachers, neighbors and other people around them and incorporate progressively , studies (previously neglected), in social life, the labor market to maintain family contacts and return regularly.
Taking into account their clinical history and social reality that is lived, all this can be considered a miracle, though. . . where The key to this success?
horses and other animals. MADE THE DIFFERENCE
"When you tell a guy in charge of taking care of a horse, you're saying that you trust him" ...
For Interdisciplinary Team Center CADI MOIXERÓ, SCCL, all the details of how to work are very important: the relationship with professional staff members, gives them the confidence or support in their interaction in the activities. But there is one element that distinguishes this center and is the cornerstone to achieve such good results.
L’AULA de NATURA disposa de 7 cavalls, 2 ponis, 1 ase, 31 cabres, 3 porcs vietnamites, ovelles, rabbits cobaias, birds of different classes and so on. users are responsible for feeding, cleaning, walking, caring, before its use, like your best friends.
In fact these animals come to establish a very intense emotional relationship with a foundation of trust generally are not able to keep up with people.
Trinidad Barcelo, Director of CADI MOIXERÓ, SCCL, and interprets the process: "When you tell a guy in charge of taking care of a horse, you're saying that you trust him," So you leave the horse in their hands and the child understands that the horse does not even have to question prejudices against leave him and take care. No wonder that when a teenager has a conflict, a fight or a problem with your parents, teacher, head of the workshop and other partners, to run the company for your horse or pet.
OTHER INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES IN REL
a trip to Trinidad Barcelo was made in 1985 in Berlin, the Netherlands and Bologna (Italy), where he met experience of therapeutic work with horses and children physically and mentally, it was decided to apply the same system in children and adolescents has been built for them a Barrier free facilities at regime Educational Farm in the Shire of High Berguedà (Barcelona)
The Equinoteràpia it is using, for decades in several European countries (Sweden, Holland, Denmark, Germany, Italy and others like France where they practice same system since 1965 for the treatment of people with physical and mental problems)
Farm School in the USA and is GREEN Chimneys using this technique since 1947 as a pioneer in the world to heal, with very good results for children with serious emotional problems and behaviors.
It happens that its CEO, Mr.. Samuel Ross and his wife Myra in I'any 1989 estaven a Mònaco, participant en un Congrés Internacional de les Relacions Home‑Animals de Companyia i es van quedar gratament sorpresos per la nostra filosofía que, salvant la distancia, els anys d'experiència i els mitjans econòmics emprats, s'assemblen com a 2 gotes d'aigua al que ells feien a Nova York, en relació amb la filosofia de tractament amb animals i la valentia d'encarar‑se amb greus problemes, doncs la realitat de que el menor, és sols un jove al que la societat ha de tenir cura i enfortir, per tal que pugui esdevenir un ésser humà feliç (XIROI en català), amb aquells valors eterns de la civilització: TREBALLADOR, HONEST, NET, EDUCAT, ALEGRE, GENERÓS, SOLIDARITY and the interdisciplinary team CATALAN

2) International Federation Impaired Treatment by the horse (FRDI)
3) European Association of Social Workers Justice, is a mental process of opening for both teachers and for children living in and prevents encaparrament daily problems of his small and marginal neighborhood and reach parity - with other young people in the European Community.
training and retraining permanent Inter-disciplinary Team which deals with the Farm is a very important factor. The weekly meetings of work, all Adult Team One, to analyze the processes and outcomes, as well as to establish new treatments and approaches are essential in working methods.
should be aware that dealing with top general public, requires a very large delivery personnel.
That is, the therapeutic work goes far beyond the work of walking and riding involves a theoretical and methodological elaboration product of observation and training.
CENTER EQUINOTERÀPIA MOIXERÓ CADI, SCCL
The geographical setting is located on CADI MOIXERÓ through meadows and mountains, its small size and equipment and the relationship can be established with animals, allowing the public to use our services , a process can make use of immersion within an ecosystem of nature.
THE HORSE: SOURCE OF HEALTH AND JOY
Despite being recently recognized by the medical profession in general, are increasingly based therapeutic experiences in the use of animals as educational tool. When medical attention is necessary, immediate therapy is offered AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy). These are invaluable tools if they are well used by experienced therapists.
On a deeper, experts agree that contact with the animal woman emotional security at an elementary level comparable to what we receive in our childhood by his mother and that allows us to show us more as we really are and recognize the deeper needs.
A study by the U.S. in 1970, stated that 5% of clinics ¡Therapeutic Americans used pet healing purposes. In 1982 (a decade later) Dr. Arkow P. speaks of 75 programs and 44 animals in Protecting Companies research projects in universities. Today probably will be many more.
Dr. Psiq. Pedro Ridruejo manifested in QUO Magazine (No. 5 of February 1996) that "allow us to destroy the animals rooted in our inner Self and to recognize our deepest needs." As Janet says
Ruckert "therapists are born, then allow their carers emotional security equivalent to that we received from the mother to our children."
allow physiological benefits such as stress reduction, psychological, and safety, consistency, privacy etc.. And social, then the animal lives easier in some balm problems. The link established
between the animal and the person is very strong and often be more profound than among the same people, because the animal does not question anything, we accept such (regardless of color, age, sex, religion, status, internment, etc. .)
always available (never go on holiday) and welcomes any approach that you do. We never betrayals and if we can not require anything to them than their potential, always be on our side.
believe are complementary are also a tool that, used properly by expert hands, bring undeniable benefits. But that makes us willing to stay and seek new methodology. Not the same rehabilitation exercises on a stretcher in a hospital room that could enjoy the pleasure of riding and able to perform these movements on a live animal rehabilitation.
For the treatment of psychological problems (inmates in an asylum, orphanage, etc..) Are highly recommended as cats, dogs, fish, etc.., And also having the appropriate infrastructure, are producing good results from animals 'Nature Classroom (goats, pigs, rabbits, pigeons, ferrets, technology), but especially for the treatment HORSES maladaptive social problems, then help us raise ourselves and raise their own problems that we grips.
THE INTER-ACTION-PERSON RIDING HORSE
insist on, because we are aware of the difficulty of being able to lift ourselves and be driven by another animal that is so docile, and loyal and could fill domesticable our legs and lead paths we never dreamed. This involves a relationship in which they combine the pleasure and responsibility ....
The horse may become:
a) company in a positive relationship: establishing communication with the horse does not result in simulation, deceit or ambiguity. The animals do not seek falsehood, gifts affect us show you give unconditionally. Their relationship is not subject to any influences mood or circumstances, and accept us as we are always receptive to our caresses. They are always available.
b) OBJECT OF AFFECTION: Certain animals such as dogs, cats, horses, etc., give and seek affection. In Cadiz MOIXERÓ, SCCL have been exceptional players, then the young participants have established a tenderness very special situations, in order to bring the newborn, so you can suck maternal colostrum. We also follow the first steps, gallop, etc. and see the smile on his eyes guenyos, to discover a butterfly, a toad, a mole, etc.. And this allows us to grow together (Animals, children, educators, family ...).
c) Peace and quiet: The presence of a docile horse is an important factor to achieve a moment of calm. Its size gives us security and can lead to the approach of the adult and the demonstrations of affection are acceptable, fair and balanced.
Often we find that given the young people who have been serious assaults by adults, refuse, first time, any approach, but if you're stroking a horse is very possible that the hand of the teacher clashes with the minor and, together, continue with caresses
Així mateix ens produeix respecte, tant pel seu volum com pel fet que tenen memòria i si algun child is exceeded, with cruelty manifests, you may receive an adequate response by the animal.
e) CONTACTS WITH NATURE: The fact live together in Nature, we can enjoy different routes, and especially the Route of the Cathars.
f) SOURCE OF CARE: The young participants are concerned and worried about the horses, give them food, and try to see everything you need to feel strong, healthy and tame. These noble animals provoke participation and responsibility, and this allows their carers to be invested with a "role", a special function, ie, they are important for another living being.
g) Company: What can be said of moments of everyday life in which the educator has occupied his attention for another couple or to the tasks of its work, the child goes to visit his horse, pony or burrito ... Solet and if it is not wanted and sought, in particular, there is an Educational Farm MOIXERÓ as CADI, SCCL.
All features mentioned above, provide the young participants, a structured environment and structure of education makes it necessary in order to acquire habits of living that allows them to expectations of Equinoteràpia MOIXERÓ CADI, SCCL.
mammals have a ganglion that detects the pheromone of DANGER
mammals detect danger messages through a node located between the nostrils, they `re alarm pheromones that have been released by a fellow, to warn of a threat, according to a scientific team from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). They rediscovered the Grueneberg ganglia, located at the entrance of the nose and provided 300 to 500 cells. The electron microscope has demonstrated that detect pheromones and then emits a signal of danger ganglion. Na Trini and Michael have been detected in both dogs, horses like us and they have used in Animal Assisted Therapy since 1986 in the SAC XIROI CRAE and since 1997 in the Hospital Psychiatric Prison Brian (Barcelona), the Directorate Gral. Penitentiary and Rehabilitation Services, Department of Justice of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
SPIRIT AND PHILOSOPHY OF THE CENTRE of EQUINOTERÀPIA MOIXERÓ CADI,
Throughout this year of operation, we had to overcome several problems, but the original spirit of the constitution of our association has always been present in all our actions.
order to promote personal development and social integration of people affected by any kind of physical deformity, mental deficiency or marginalization factor social base, whatever their age, sex or condition, using as a therapeutic tool the AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy), especially horse and other pets.
Furthermore, we based on five pillars for us, are very important because we can not only ensure a positive work reintegration, but also a projection and recognition at national and European level.
These pillars of reference, as elements of life are inter-connexionats:
1) All children and others who participate in center activities (children, adolescents and young people), following the philosophy of our anagram, try to become strong in spirit, cheerful and happy and hugging all the problems, whether physical, psychological and / or social.
2) their families, to those dealing with respect and dedication exquisite deserve our consideration, then possibly again be welcomed in his detraining.
3) employees MOIXERÓ CADI, SCCL, with commendable professionalism and attitude of service, despite the unhealthy part of your daily work, but very gratificable, for the good results we are getting about 42% insertion social and work positively.
4) The animals that give us their invaluable support, as therapeutic tools in the hands of our experienced teachers. It's what we know as the AAT (Animal Assisted Therapy, especially HORSES plus ponies, burrito, goats and other domestic and companion animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, geese, chickens, pigeons, ferrets ...)
5 ) members MOIXERÓ CADI, SCCL, with their unconditional support and selfless allow not only the daily operation, but security in the future footprint of our spirit of service and dedication to the most marginalized and prevent relaxation or idealística descafeinament over time.
6) Animal Assisted Therapy, especially with the ring adapted to the practice of EQUINOTERÀPIA covered 30 x 40 m2, which is giving such good results, since 1947 in countries like USA, France, Germany, UK, Israel, Russia, Japan, etc. may
specialized resource to those affected by various disabilities and support to inmates and residents with disabilities, our Alt Berguedà
WORK VALUES
in order to facilitate the reintegration of young people and teenagers transmit values enable their social integration in society that has lived.
1) Employment and spirit. We can simplify an attitude of not having them never enough want to know and do more with what this entails a stimulus for new learning and personal satisfaction for a job well done. So try to flee the alienament and search within each of their preferences or abilities.
2) Honesty: We believe that, increasingly, is considered a person who "play fair", which is able to imbue confidence and tranquility, both economically, as the level of autonomy.
3) neatness: This is a quality that may seem a nimietat supine, but an example: an employer receives a very positive impact on the employee to verify that, once its work is devoted to tidy and clean the tools, machines, etc..
body cleansing is also important, because we think that shows that a / has to tidy their local interior ..
Similarly, during the hours of training within the center, invite, with stiffness Spartan but very humane and respectful, to desist from smoking, not wearing a pendant ...
The aim is to provide work and self-esteem and a positive self-image. This neat image serves as reference for other residents engaging children.
4) Communicative Ability: We want to encourage communication between residents and the world around them. To achieve this foster oral and gestural forms of exchange, often far from that so far have known. In short, we want to move with ease in any place and circumstance.
5) Self-esteem and happiness to try a new approach to life, you do get rid of the colors black and gray existence without a future, no work or place of residence.
We would be willing to make a living, laughing, xiroi who do forget previous negative experiences. That is, the glass half full, not half empty.
6) generosity, solidarity and justice: To break the mold of individualism and learn to respect themselves and help each other. They think we are all equal, despite differences of color, age, sex, education, origin, etc..
7) Catalan: Given the idiosyncrasies of some residents who do not want or have to leave the label of other lands where their ancestors were born, we had to spend to understand and accept the importance roots to the place where we live, love, work and maybe loved ones are buried.
This reality feel "Catalans indeed, is proving quite rewarding for us all, because above all we are human beings with projected achieve happiness.

Pietro Lombardi Und Sebastian Wurth
brief memories of Mies Van Der Rohe architecture
by Sergio Miranda R.
Professor Emeritus Professor PUC
UFT.
the distance, I am pleased to Mies's memory of those years in Crown Hall, as his student, along with another ten or twelve disciples of various nationalities in the Graduate School in Chicago, back in the years 1956 - 1957 .
be inevitable, in this brief and bizarre chronic anecdotes that appear interspersed with some images of his work and thought, as known to all, along with the few personal mementos that might show a closer angle of his tremendous personality.
At that time, as students, we knew it outlined its strong record from the Bauhaus to his arrival in the United States, where he had begun in new areas of the world the development and strengthening of his thought, full of challenges, including was his defense of theoretical principles peer or difficulties with customers as I remember, in the whispering corridors, (although there was Crown Hall corridors), it was said their differences and finally engage the trial that his client, Dr. Edith Farnsworth, due in part to trouble of a more personal, parallel to the office. We said, died of laughter, that the proposed Fox River was the most expensive in office hours I would never have. Maybe that's why architecture recommended not to talk to customers, but rather their children or pets.
Farnsworth House (1945-1951). Perhaps the most minimalist house ever created. Mies van der Rohe (1928) states: "Architecture is the expression that creates the human being against the outside world and how we try to get it. Always reflect the expression of our spiritual decision about the space. "
Gathering in the distance its origins, history and final achievement is now easy to reconstruct the reason for his image as strong, he inspired deep inner nobility and beauty.
important was that he was born and has started within a Catholic family in 1886 in Aachen, a city built upon the Holy Roman Empire in the heart of the Middle Ages. Stonemason's son and himself apprentice.
In "Conversations with Mies" [1] states: "I left school at age 14 had no education ... ... I remember the cathedral built by Charlemagne the octagon ... you saw the original stones ... with only his excellent brick ... actually building clear .... It would have given anything for one of these buildings ".... No wonder that later say .... "God is in the details."
Early on he began to read, and in Berlin ... you were interested in astronomy and natural sciences, but especially so obsessed with the question What is truth? Until I found the answer in Thomas Aquinas [2] ... I worried also another question "What is the order?" ... Found the answer in San Agustín [3]:
In 1910 starts his new rotation, change your lifestyle and architectural approaches. We contact the currents of the moment. Is involved in the Bauhaus until its closure in 1933. (Gropius, Itten, Moholy Nagy, Meyer, Mies 22Albers, among others). Mies
finally left in Europe, the tremendous legacy paradigm of contemporary architecture is the Barcelona Pavilion (1929)
Among his first forays into the new culture, Chicago 1938, is concerned about the mass ratio between the built and covered space ... "It should eliminate any unnecessary weight ... the building should be as light as possible." Nearby, Robert you Ricolais launch its motto: "Weight zero, infinite light" ... It was romantic pursuits of all .... Then we say, "the massive bronze mullions of the Seagram Building have to be so big or because it is oversized and must be seen."
Thus we see that the Lever House by Gordon Bunschaft. SOM, a paradigm of High Modernism, which was at the head of Seagram, looked like cellophane.
The teachers we could intuit Mies was a presence of flesh and blood who acted from the premises. It was a great talker, but in his heart he could be suspected was a lonely man. Arrival
Crown Hall, at about 15 hrs. Smoking a big cigar "Montecristo" and, with a far left has been treated to a good cognac desktop. [Mies smiling] It was open, cheerful and talked about everything. A young fellow students and general questions posed to them under the idea perhaps, to dig into the bottom of things, looking towards the meaning of architecture. Measuring the seriousness of the questions and the clarity of the responses and thereby contribute to guess the generation of his disciples. Although he said that education should address the practical level, he insisted that all architecture should be an expression of the spirit of a civilization, where its survival would depend on the expression of the state of technology and the recognition of proportion, because man is the subject of it. This would be eternal.
remember that in his concern to find the lasting, encouraged us to read some works, including one of Samuel Butler: Erewhon (Nowhere), Victorian writer mocked the society of his time, making mockery of machinery , religion and Darwinism. He invented a fictional world without machines, but where there was a museum of machines, a pious ladies Bank where deposited money that was no good for shopping, or a very funny subject called Chowpok ("cowpox?)
Two anecdotes me help round out the memory of those days. The first has to do with the expectant first steps in School: "We arrived I was already wondering how is that all students end up being small" Miesitos? ... Is the case, the first day of school, after a pleasant introduction, Mies asked for a
- The project of a home in a week .... I strive to do what he thought most representative for me, was to look at a slope. I came from a particular geography and, to some traditions.
Mies, gentlemanly pondered the merits and defects of my humble work, but declared: "We believe that man can live more comfortably in a single level "(as the Pope spoke in the plural: Tink saw (we think)."
From that statement I kept saying no.
The second anecdote: Mies had a penetrating gaze. It was hard to keep the look. Thus one day I was checking my patio home model, lowering the side walls and looking at floor level through the house, when I get across the living room, "Mies's eye", like a cyclops: a battering ram that left me startled to burst.
In all these studies highlighted the continuing guidance of thinking architecture that call then "honest." witnessed the evolution to see how the ideas of Mies clean, consistent, remain as valid in principle.
Its territory, that we discover, was first understand the ideas, if you wanted to understand life. Although not remember hearing him at the time one of his sentences for the bronze: "Architecture starts when you carefully put two bricks" So, I was skeptical to the emotional expressions of architecture, which led to many problems his contemporaries. I always left feeling that surfaced after his figure a certain condition of a monk, with some bread and water alone. A permanent position that contrasted with his partner and friend so many days, Ludwig Hilberseimer, our professor of City Planning. Theoretical tenacious, not forgive violations of his disciples, argumentative, controversial, chatty and humor, with a background different from that of Mies, like a good theory in that it did not reveal the inner wakefulness who are alone with their problems .
Over time, it seems very timely reflection of the Valencian architect, Alberto Burgos, which confirms some points today: "risking criticism for more than an exegete, I will contaminate the cleaning you deserve Mies, speculating with what I would call this point of inspiration for architects, where there are three types:
1. That copy without understanding (International Style, Phillip Johnson, etc.).
2. Those who inherit a minimalist feel merely send-less is more "
3. Those who are smart at the bottom of message and represent the world, assuming the rigor terrible to think clearly, even at the cost of making themselves vulnerable and flawed, or make sacrifices, in keeping with the internal ethics, learned from Mies in profound message. "
As said above, it has become easier today for why the contemporaries rebuild his image as strong, inspiring depth, kindness and inner beauty.
From my distant memory, I have operated as a balm to have brought here, in a perhaps somewhat unorthodox, some minor aspects of the career of a man of our time, robust, full of authority, and paradoxically, perhaps, by That same, contained in "the unfathomable universe of a great man alone."

the distance, I am pleased to Mies's memory of those years in Crown Hall, as his student, along with another ten or twelve disciples of various nationalities in the Graduate School in Chicago, back in the years 1956 - 1957 .
be inevitable, in this brief and bizarre chronic anecdotes that appear interspersed with some images of his work and thought, as known to all, along with the few personal mementos that might show a closer angle of his tremendous personality.
Levitra Expiration Time
do and think from structuralism linguistic
By: Nicanor Wong Ortiz Arq
jnwong@caplima.pe
Summary: One of the most far-reaching theoretical architecture of the last century was the German Christian Norberg-Schulz. In his "Intentions in Architecture" in 1979, began to rework the fundamentals of this concept from the construction of a new vocabulary (structuralist linguist) validating on constructivist learning theory of Jean Piaget (Switzerland, 1896-1980). Since grammatical constructions use words whose concepts are wrong, you need a syntax "constantly changing" to unify a cluster of ideas (perceptions) about architecture.
Keywords: language, syntax, semantics, communication, dialogue, task, project, thought, truth, reality, rhetoric, form, production.
1. The language in the contemporary world
The language has aroused great interest in the various currents of contemporary philosophy, not only in regard to philosophy but also other branches of science and art. So much has come to be considered central to contemporary philosophy can be called - in analogy to the discoveries of Copernicus - the "linguistic turn" (cf. LAFONT: 1993).
By addressing the language, philosophy has described its three basic dimensions: a.
cognitive, always enhanced by the classical tradition,
b. the communication, which allows us to describe and understand the world about what is in the world, what goes for one another and finally, c.
categorizing or ordering the latter two
dimensions of language have not been treated thematically to the so-called "linguistic turn." However, since Aristotle defined man as an animal with "logos" (Greek word: word, speech, speech, reasoning), a term that has long been interpreted in terms of "rational animal." "Logos" is a term that points to the same time to reason and language, ie not forget that - somehow - the language is the place to articulate the thought and the world. In the words of Martin Heidegger: "Is it a coincidence that the Greeks, whose daily existence predominantly took the form of dialogue, and also "had eyes" to see, have determined the nature of man and animal (...) having logos? The subsequent interpretation of this definition of man as rational animal, without being "fake" conceals, however, phenomenal field where this definition of Dasein (being, existence) was taken. (...) The Greeks have no word for the language, they understood this phenomenon "immediately" as a discourse "(Heidegger, 1997: 188).
In fact, communication systems based on common symbols that are linked to "life forms", ie, role models common. The verb, compared to human action, may be understood as a component of these three dimensions, which should add the catéctica as reactive sensory knowledge (Norberg - Schulz, 2001: 40-43).
To conceive of space that surrounds us turn to the symbolism of it. This phenomenon epistemological architecture allows to express that daily life has a meaning that transcends the immediate situation and, as part of a historical continuity - cultural. The ancient cities attest that human communication has a stimulating effect and should be considered as a prerequisite for cultural development. Could be identified as examples of this link submissions and representations murals in temples, palaces and tombs Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Greek, Roman and pre-Hispanic, such as the mural painting discovered in the tomb of Knumhotep (1,900 BC), around the door frame entering the room containing his sarcophagus, made aware of the immortal spirit ak stock of his life.
The fact that writing as a sign to settle into the architecture as object indicates the precedence of knowledge on cognitive and communicative catéctico categorical. This information is extremely important for architects and historians of art and culture: embracing psychological information and sociological definition or understanding of the role (purpose) of the building. The way they express this symbol, it certainly must be intelligible, but not necessarily under a common canon representative. Arnhelm (ARNHELM: 1973) shows the various forms of physical reproduction of the environment, I would not call "relative", but different. Such is the case of "The Garden of Nebamun (1,400 BC), a mural painting in a tomb at Thebes which accounts for a swimming pool with exquisite representation of fish and ducks, surrounded by trees of different varieties of the area. But beyond the wall representations that account for the use and design in the imaginary space of the artist, archaeological findings, such as the Parthenon Ictinus (450 BC) reflect the ability of the object that drives our performance based on direction, size and distance. While the Italian architect and theorist Bruno Zevi criticize the inability of the interior space travel, the temple designed for the gods in the upper area of Athens divided the territory into three zones marked: the temple on top (Acropolis) - home of the gods in the middle of the agora, the center of social life and the residential area. Regional planning can have a parallel with the order of communication. The citizens of Athens had to know exactly their position buildings based on the symbol of the city, these buildings will be regulated as symbol-style rule gathered by the Roman Marcus Aurelius Vitruvius in his treatise "De Architecturae." Understanding the way from the ten books vitrubianos has not changed substantially. The German professor, Norberg-Shultz (Norberg-Schulz, 1979: 65-66) proposes the following outline for a reading from the form: a.
The manner in proportion: only have one computer effect when they lead to what he calls "Gestalten" (elements) architectural concrete. B.
The way space: the use of a concept of space from the laws of Euclidean geometry must be supplemented by other formal categories. C.
The way we structure, is to understand the architectural form as a whole which unifies the different factors.
affirm that truth is mediated, or is brought through our language - oral, written, formal - is not degrading but implies emphasizing his humanity. The claim that the truth appears in the language of rationality emphasizes its interpersonal nature, since - as Wittgenstein rightly - a private language is impossible. Otherwise man could not sustain a physical control over their environment.
Thus, the functional framework Gregor Paulsson what is called "the physical environment." The man, from his appearance on the face of the Earth has been organized in communities and has established physical control over their environment based on trial and error as a means of survival. However, beyond the transformations performed to the basic-basic functions of the species, there is already an abstraction of the function, since every action requires a site specific artificial environment that allows live in the broadest sense, and to live , you must first have lived. It will not be at all accidental that the principle of the architectural composition is of mimesis with nature, the lifting of dolmens and such as Carnac menhirs.
In everyday life we often act on the direction, size and distance, and only a specific attitude enables us to combine these phenomena in a higher conception of space.
The communicative aspect of speech act is not an aspect which can be dispensed but is essential when attempting an adequate understanding of language and truth.
2. The true intent of the language as
Our access to truth is not absolute. The truth is always open to new formulations and, on many occasions, we find the reasons for the truth in the opposition with opposing views. "The historical experience of the systematic growth of knowledge, scientific spirit incarnate in the creative, stands as a touchstone of reality, the critical value of the submission of empirical contrast own opinion and reasoned discussion with peers" (Conesa, 1999: 158 .) Claiming that the truth appears before the language is not in relative terms since, through the contrast and rational dialogue, human beings are capable of recognizing the legitimacy of a trial on another basis which is real.
The idea of language as closely related to the reason is not entirely contemporary. In fact, Plato shares this idea to use the dialogue form in his writings. The dialogue is a particular use of language where communication function is particularly evident, but this does not exclude cognitive function. The purpose of dialogue and therefore language is communication, but communication can only be true if the purpose of dialogue is the truth and it does not take precedence over other interests (1).
result, Plato against the Sophists, believes in the existence of truth and the possibility of human reason to reach it, but the truth at any time is conceived as closed and conclusive, but as something open. The purpose of each of the dialogues is dragged in the search for truth, not to provide a systematic doctrine.
And in the political arena? What degree of force Plato attributed to the political use of reason? His goal of the ruling philosopher seems to rest on the following equation: if you have attained wisdom, I have to do it. The drive seems, in some cases frightening: if you know everything, I can send it. In this way we find a reason alienating or "dictatorial", all sectors of the life of the polis are predetermined, on behalf of the power of reason.
This is the beginning of the small snowball, as going down the hill, is becoming more grain. The use of reason is used in policy is based on the conquest theoretical contemplation of the supreme truth. If this is the same reason that it covers and the acting is necessary to formulate the proposal in terms of a Platonic matching planes (metaphysical and political) in which only remains to be determined what priority. The inclination towards either pole significantly affect the ontological notion of reality.
Plato's problem seems to arise with the syllogism "what he knows, knows." But then to say that the "ideas" are a model and paradigm of all, not the solution but the beginning of the problem. The point is not that what we know, as we know, you know, but be aware that with that knowledge does not know everything. A paradox of Zeno, "the more you know, more is unknown." "Well, how would not be a lover of learning who set using the knowledge and ignorance self from others?" (Plato, 1999). The reason is platonic but knows his limits limit functions as an elastic boundary to be doing: where the unknown becomes known, the boundary moves further. Here begins the real dialogue, communicative dialogue. Similarly, the "intuition" space is not confused with "reading" of it. "Read" involves grasping its properties within the action we have over them by the agent intellect and sensitive. The perception of architecture that wraps around us and can be described as a series of intermediate objects that serve as centers of attraction as the intent of the person. Note that these qualities are in continuous change as the potential of them.
Awareness of the limits of reason is not to isolate everything that is not itself and for itself. Thus, it has happened in the passage of rationalism to transcendental idealism, where the limit of reason is established as a fixed limit, "as I do not know what lies beyond reason and know I can dedicate myself to draw as accurately as possible the side of the border inward, ie, the conditions of possibility of using of reason. " Given this restrictive view, the limits of reason are shown as limits Platonic phones, as it provides the possibility to access the principle that underlies their assumptions and ways of knowing there are extra ("a" or "above") is rational relate to the content of speech.
According to this view, modernity propose a reason "strong closed, "epitomized by Hegel, and Plato would be a reason" open safe ", the radical antagonism would be in the use of reason does postmodernism, perhaps the most negative of all: a reason" and closed weak. " Closed because it can not go a step further and weak as distrustful of itself. A certain stillness. Shulz (Norberg-Schulz, 1979: 36) notes that action presupposes an organization's environment. This organization would, before, to abstract objects immediately given phenomena. For the German architect, objects, or will the way we attach to the world as the words that compose a sentence and are expressed through our behavior. Within its particular linguistic structuralism-phenomenal, it will be fixed to objects a sign, so we can talk about them, which can be described and sorted into systems. The more complex and differentiated environment becomes, the greater the need for a "system of symbols" that enable collaboration and cooperation, open dialogue and communication.
It is therefore of utmost importance because recovery of classical in dialogue with the thinking of the past can find answers to this. The fact that Plato For example, lean for a reason "open safe" would explain the language preference for oral versus written language and the fact choose to write his work in dialogue form fleeing any literary form that resembled a body exposure Closed doctrine.
Thought is always an unfinished task so many of Plato's dialogues are basically a "point to" or an open road. The scheme of dialogue does not show up as empty but as one thought discussion. The thought that arises discussed was born, at once, humanized and enriched by the company. It is no longer thought and peeling away from human reality. Our world, modern and complicated, needs new professional methods, but while the engineer and the scientist have adapted their activities to changes in social structure, the architect, contained in itself, has clung to outdated ideas and methods. Often adheres to the nineteenth century romantic idea that artists should express only autonomous personality (Norberg-Schulz, 1979: 15). The ideology of the architect has been changing as the same production model has evolved. After various experiments based on authority, whether social democratic, communist or socialist country (would illustrate the impressive projects of Hitler's architect, Albert Speer and Germania or the Seagram Building by Mies Van der Rohe in Manhattan). Next to the "linguistic turn" one must add the supremacy of the neo-capitalist model, liberal and open, in which consumption and, therefore, the relationship between people and the supply of diversity have played a major role. In this sense, the figure of the architect of liberal thinking, more sensitive to environmental applications would be in perfect harmony with the changing needs of the productive system of a society tends to wealth. Triumph model singular figure of the architect as advocated by Le Corbusier: architect and artist unique, with a personal language that goes beyond knowledge construction management or policies (2).
Nevertheless, not all forms of dialogue, language, speech or design process, the truth will be the result. As I mentioned, only those who use a tyrannical reasoning structure may confuse the language with the metaphysical level and thus "create" from the language or discourse "strong" closed "a" truth itself. " As absurd as a "language itself." By 1992, a series of political transformations defined a major change of the time. The "end" of the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall were made unprecedented broadcast by all television networks. In recent years architecture has become a multitude of experiments and open to multiple addresses, which often have managed to break dichotomies established during the twentieth century. Works concerned with form and technique included looking at all costs "star system" media: architectures that have developed in unison - thanks to the widespread use of the image over thought - ingredients morpho-abstract and figurative, based on a game hedonistay formal or, in the same vein, reinterpretations of classicism from the attitude of irony. If
formulations years sixties are single-issue and consistent - Rossi, Venturi, Archigram, etc. - Architects representing the eighties and nineties have a hybrid, seemingly contradictory reading, which attempt to reconcile their own languages to validate themselves. Natalini, Gehry, Koolhaas, Hollein, Siza, Ito ... are not semantically understandable since the role of the work is born of irrationality. Minimalism, hedonism postmodern vernacular references, technology, ecology, semiotics, figurative art and artistry, all this is taken at a time, tending to schematic some poor architectural elements of the postmodern and decostructivo. Thus, much of the architecture of the sixties and seventies will manifests as a direct reference to the avant-garde plastic, highlighting Aldo Rossi, Robert Venturi and Peter Eisenman. However, these key positions methodological sophistry, lost strength in the eighties, expanding in a multitude of disciples and diluted in an overview of individuals each more extravagant.
Young architects of the nineties completely abandon reliance on any systematic, prevailing attitudes extrapolated wildly eclectic fragmentary references out of context. Disjointed images are fed into a predominantly visual repertoire, in which increasingly dominate the acculturation and uncritical incorporation of input from different contexts. This is manifested in a wide range of projects characterized by its inconsistency to be contradicted by ignorance of the implications and roots of each type, format and semantics. It is rhetoric in this crossroads where modern architecture is.
3. Contemporary rhetoric
Although the language of communication may or may not, be a condition for the truth may be present that dialogue is communication and therefore there must be no other interests other than the truth or at least that not subordinate the pursuit of other interests that it may appear.
sterile Contemporaneity will build on a rhetorical structure, confusing the language of flattery. Thus, the rhetoric is the science cultivated by the Sophists, who is devoted to study and systematize procedures and techniques to use the language to serve a compelling purpose or esthetics. Consistency is needed. The main dimensions must be coordinated semantically: the forms and constructions have meaning when connected with a role (Norberg-Schulz, 1979: 119)
The fundamental condition of communication as described by Plato is that dialogue reflects an attempt to get at the truth, which constitutes a "creative imitation" of the truth and not a slavish copy, subject to reasons of convenience that seek applause and immediate success or deception to hunt opportunistic customer. This does not mean that I oppose all forms of rhetoric, but only those related to the sophistry as the ultimate goal. The experience of a characteristic, as well as a diffuse or a fully articulated, are the result of distorted schematizations. Perceiving involves capturing a certain order and the chaos is defined as a perception that does not allow satisfactory (Norberg-Schulz, 1979: 31).
By contrasting rhetoric and dialectic, the paper argues that language is a way to make manifest the truth, which does not guarantee in advance the company's success. The important thing is that the participants put all his cards on the table, that all partners cooperate in the search for truth. Is not altered in any way possible the order of knowledge.
The possibility of dialogue means no communication from the contrast between truth and falsehood, but between truth and lies, or more broadly, between truth and manipulation. This does not mean that the environment does not affect humans. The purpose of architecture beyond the definition given by the first functionalism the years 45 to 65. The rise of incoherent rhetorical repertoire does not mean that all contemporary architecture is execrable. However, the digital revolution, the global warming phenomenon and the divergence between West and East do generate a communicative exchange generates a new point of view, exposed to disagreement and misunderstanding on the part of native communities, migrants and digital immigrants they create a different mode of cognition of reality, learning and language.
But, despite the transformations that can be accidental, the connection between this approach of Plato and some later philosophical developments, is obvious: Is necessary to find the right word and also learn the silence speaks for itself: in short, be present in the dialogue. The opposite is true routine controversial dialogue of the dispute, when it reacts to any argument with the question: 'But is not there a logical contradiction? " (...). Against this we must defend the dialogue in its internal possibility of truth and especially against the submission to the rules of a simple logic called apparent sophistication "(Gadamer, 1998: 128-129). We can speak of a true experience of architecture when trying to find what the form represents a manifestation of superior items (Norberg-Schulz, 1979: 56).
In short, an architectural system can be understood as an ordered set of architectural wholes. These can be classified and the classes described in terms of the dimensions of the subject and the media. A system architecture is characterized by the number and types of topics and also includes special relations between classes, for example, a hierarchical or "addition" of equalities (Norberg-Schulz, 1979: 121).
4. Beyond the linguistic
As the reader has read the preceding paragraphs. Linking architecture and structure of language is a way of understanding the universe of the same but the architecture is not just a linguistic system. The application of the rules of semantic relations between the sign and the nomination, will be as useful only interpretation. In fact, this is the end of the communication, understanding. However, the theory of architecture - so integral - is built on a wider basis. Norberg-Schulz (Norberg-Schulz, 1979: 68), the German theorist, suggests that there would be three basic dimensions:
a. the role,
b. the shape and
c. art. For the theoretical
Peruvian Ludeña Urquizo (Ludeman, 1997:71) the domain of a general theory of architecture is more extensive and complex. The use of the language system will offer an interpretive system architecture idealistic. A linear structure: the role (idea) - form (symbols and signs of the object cualificadotes) - technology (concrete building industry). Nothing is more foreign to the complex system of architecture, but can be understood as a diagram of sets as the large number of concomitant factors that interact with each other, the reality is applied as a comprehensive diagram of process leading to the building. Following Ludeman (Ludeman, 1997:87), the mega sequence would be: a.
Recognition of the conditions of nature, topography, climate, geography, physical environment modified natural physical environment, etc. B.
Recognition of social conditioning: reports, meta stories, expectations, habits, tastes, architectural knowledge, personal and group contexts, etc. C.
Awareness (objective and subjective) system habitability requirements: architectural program, regulations and rules, anthropometry, ergonomics, style, past experiences, etc. D.
Taking advantage of the project to be developed, ideas, mental representations, insights, knowledge, historical knowledge, ideologies, etc.
e. Ideally designed to represent the goods: architectural design drawings, structural, electrical, sanitary, electro, lighting, security, control, model, etc. F.
The realization - Construction: Metro and budget, contracts and subcontracts, work planning, scheduling, routing and layout, suitability of the land, preliminary work, etc. G.
The distribution and exchange of product built: assessment of the product, profit margin, purchase, sale, etc.
This is what I would call a "super architectural structure" on which could be could be developed a diagram of sets and subsets vast interrelated functions in return, so that the theoretical interpretation of the architecture to be comprehensive.
The difference with the analysis of language structures and are well-known symbolic ideal. While the former is of tree form: subject, predicate, noun, article, verb, direct object, etc.. The second is sequential: philological analysis (concordance between image and text description), typological (abstraction of the variations of form, style and ordering the material composition by theme) and iconologycal (analysis of the image with all contexts on which is).
5. The loss of cognitive unit
If we accept the Aristotelian definition of architecture as "utilitarian ars" (art utility), aimed at meeting the needs of make a living, it reveals an inescapable dimension of architectural instrumental (3 ), which, while not absolutely determine its final formal configuration has to occupy a central role in making design decisions. This implies, in turn, necessarily an interpretation of particular user requests for housing, as will be necessary to define its conditions of possibility implicit in the architectural determinations made. The architecture in this sense, interpretively respond as it sets, a live, understood in its broadest sense, existential (4).
Moreover, as has been shown in recent times, various schools of thought in art theory from the phenomenological aesthetics, semiotics, or the interpretations iconology, has tried to unravel the characteristics and scope of aesthetic symbolization. From there, the architecture, as well as other art objects from the effects - objects, buildings - are endowed with significance. Thus, the object - artifact - architecture, at first, expressed the "embedding of the intelligible in the sensible" for the incorporation of rationality to the matter - where it says Dufrenne (Dufrenne, 1982: Vol I. 51), the "epiphany" or "apotheosis of the sensible" (5) - and also can be said that means not only material or physically possible, a personal and social habits (6).
But still, in that it assumes or can assume values of representation or image - "enlightenment" would perhaps be reduced to these effects, Gilson (7) - The architectural work is necessarily text-witness
firstly, by reference inescapable relationship and / or contrast (GILSON, 1961: 221 ff)-contained so effectively even without intention - with respect space-time tradition, that is, by its location in specific local and historical features which has to "respond" and, secondly, by the valuation that actually makes requests of the various factors and conditions that affect architectural work: the way it produces its conjunction or start discussions, etc.., as, finally, that any work of architecture this constitutes a theming architecture in general and of itself in its context (Panofsky, 1979).
to all this is the fact that the architectural work is constrained, as mentioned, for many extrinsic factors: geographic, socioeconomic, political, cultural, etc., Which determine "outside" its possibilities and mediate (qualify and judge) solutions.
is, in addition to the factors derived from consideration of its artistic (art for art), the architectural work involves a choice in living - in the broadest sense, which could be extended even, in some ways, the definition of conditions and ways of life embedded in the building, with a strong signifier of cultural and symbolic. On the other hand, your chances of achievement are mediated by a host of challenges and constraints, extra-artistic, often decisive in its configuration as an object.
Resulting from the above is the particular sensitivity of the architecture as an activity closely linked to the philosophical and intellectual currents (sociology, economics, politics, anthropology, etc.) That affects not only the aesthetic tastes and the evolution of arts, but a substantially so direct. Thus, "the architecture takes on a social whole lot more openly than in any other art, because here everything is presented as a problem of means and ends and the means (material, technical, price) are linked to the social economy and the purpose (modes of life, smart, work) are associated with social habits "(Morpurgo-Tagliabue, 1971: 451).
Moreover, the immediacy and physical proximity of their products, tangible consequences, forced involvement in the events of the mechanisms and production processes, cultural and ideological permeability and the "experimental" own contemporary, have the concept of architecture as a field test with particularly amenable to changes in the intrinsic systems definition. Thus, the architecture becomes an ideal breeding ground for ideological and testing applications that can not be reduced or closed to the area inclusive of a pure aesthetic activity and, therefore, more effective than all the other arts. So, we work "organic" as the Sagrada Familia by Antonio Gaudi in Barcelona (1883) to "collages" as the attic of Coop Himmelb (l) au in Vienna (1983-1988).
This often makes debates in the field of architectural ideas are developed as return paths that run in the context of a dialectical relationship difficult to resolve, between two areas of action waived: the field that corresponds to its own specific discipline art-understood "art" in the broad Aristotelian sense and his commitment and responsibilities in terms of ethical and social implications.
is known that in architecture have lived with particular emphasis the consequences of victory and the collapse of modernity. The other solution given the dilemma between the ethical-social and "condition art "of architecture, can provide a vantage point for understanding the events surrounding the rise and fall of the call to" modern architecture ", or the Modern Movement in architecture, as it can be defined historically referred to in its origins in interwar Europe. Collins says: "One of the salient features of modern architecture has been its relationship with morality, so the ethical foundations of architectural design theorists have preoccupied modern in a way previously unknown" (Collins, 1970: 35) .
The ethical commitment of architecture was accompanied on the basis of modernity, with an absolute denial of his "artistic" in the sense of resignation to individual creativity and express rejection of any symptom of "formalist aestheticism", highlighting its instrumental-stated in terms of functionality, rationality, efficiency, hygiene, etc .- of the architectural work. This was understood as an immediate result of the response to the needs and requirements of programs, economic and construction techniques on a concept of univocal parallel with mechanistic scientism approaches to understand the "new architecture" as a result of the indispensable imperative the historical circumstances, political and social (8).
The historical optimism of modern architecture, affected by the scientific, technological or social, were falling in subsequent decades with a host of insurmountable tensions, produced, first, within itself architectural discipline, as rigid stylistic normative codification of the "International Style" and on the other hand, received from outside pressures, such as those performed by the great upheavals of the energy crisis, economic crisis, the collapse of the models social, the "end of ideology" etc. The postmodern
then emerge as a reaction opposite to the modern. A "defensive retreat" in the interest of redefining their own exclusive territory of architecture as art, and the recovery of history and nostalgia for an imaginary lost.
The project activity can be seen today, thus, ordered to undergo hopelessly schizophrenic dissociation produced between a pragmatic trade space and sophistication of the self-reflective, more scholarly, distant and difficult, "cultures" of architectural elites. This dissociation highlights the danger of permanent contradiction inherent the attempt to construct reality from an imaginary world, a contradiction which lies at the very foundations of structuralism phenomenal game, linguists or idealistic, leading to shape the work of the architect as something that develops in an "all disappointment ", the result of irreconcilable terms of mediation that would allow transfer ideas into reality settled in images, which in turn coded into fantastic shapes (cf. Wong 2009).
The absence of a desire for synthesis, the rejection of space-time commitment and ethical responsibilities, loss of confidence in higher ideals, characterize the current historical moment, perhaps, from a scurrilous criticism and omnivorous, relativistic and skeptical, hiperculto (but tired), is unable to support or defend something else in relation to architecture that their condition because of a vague attitude "postmodern" (9).
While the understanding of architecture as "production" - "poiesis", as employed by Aristotle - the combination of artistry and responsibilities should be carried out in almost every situation, in a communicative dialogue with the objectives real opportunities, through the exercise of certain habits, the "artistic" - "techne" - and a certain habit of "reasonable" - to the extent that this may include, exceeding the materiality of the product itself, the definition of ways of life and reply to all the constraints of space-time which is conceived and executed.
The critical task of prosecuting the various trends and architectural solutions, as a means of undertaking the project, calling for a general theoretical principle articulated in its base: the project activity. This is perhaps the major challenge imposed on postmodernity in the opening of a road to recovery a lost unity, the "totality" dissolved "the architectural project, by overcoming the dilemma between specificity secular discipline, as" artistic insight "and external responsibilities with their ethical, between that commitment mechanistic modernity and ideal" autonomy "sometimes quite unsustainable and irresponsible.
Notes:
(1) mode appear in the language of truth is a recurring theme in contemporary philosophy. Particularly interesting in this sense, are the work of Heidegger and Gadamer.
(2) This does not mean that there existed an opposite current, such as Walter Gropius, Ludwig Hilberseimer, Ernst May, Mart Stam, Alexander Klein and Hannes Meyer, aimed at the "German New Objectivity", in which it was important to understand architecture as a scientific work aimed at a radical industrialization. Designers, architects and planners had to remain anonymous industrial production, teamwork and public administration.
(3) Aristotle is clear from the difference between the instrument - for purposes related to the practical value and, what we today call works of art, whose goals are more in the realm of "idle" -. In terms of music, for example, notes from their effects: relaxation, character development and cultivation of intelligence, and among its purposes, pleasure and education (cf. Aristotle, 2007: Politics, Cap. V). The distinction is also highlighted by Heidegger, for whom the instrument being exhausted in its "instrumentality" as a work of art "cover the truth", constituting its "unveiling" (cf. SADZIK, 1971: Ch. 1).
(4) The dimension of "living" architecture has been put into relief from the suggestions made in existential terms, philosophy Heidegger (Heidegger, 1951) and Christian Norberg-Schulz (cf. Norberg-Schulz, 1975).
(5) In the artwork, says Dufrenne, "the meaning is immanent to the sensible, is his own organization" (Dufrenne, 1982: 42). There is a first stage, then, in which, despite their possible communicative qualities, use, etc., The artwork is not a sign "transitive", not "used" to achieve a meaning other than itself . Also, regarding the expression in the same "organization and disposition" of matter (ARNHELM, 1979).
(6) Muntañola describes the architecture as "a representation permanent space, "while representing" making plausible a living from a building "(cf. MUNTAÑOLA: 1981)
(7) Perhaps the look out" pure "visibility" of the painting claimed by modern painting Gilson comes to separate the plastic dimension, aesthetic and formal, a representative dimension or "enlightenment", which - say - not the painting itself as such and may or may not actually occur. Iconology has struggled in recent years show that both aspects are given, in any case, as inseparable.
(8) could cite many texts of the promoters of architecture modern, programmatic manifestos published in the twenties and thirties. By way of example, Le Corbusier's famous aphorism: "The house is a machine for living", which concentrate some of the basic content of the modern project for architecture.
(9) One of the pillars of the debate called "postmodern" is the American architect Robert Venturi. Bases its proposals on your acceptance without reservations of the complexity and contradiction in architecture, as indicated in the title of his most prominent book, "Complexity and contradiction in architecture" in 1966. It defends the eclecticism and ambiguity as a principle enriching distortion, dissonance, the "accidental forms, the criterion for accumulation, provisional, the plurality of meanings, and so on., resorting to this to the justification of the resources neorealist and pop art to advertising images, to quotations of folk architecture, etc., always against global and unitary vision of limitation in defined compositional formal systems.

"There is a war now. The message has been sent through short wave in code. The Besnard Lakes twisting chronicle, or fever dream, of spies, double agents, novelists and aspiring rock gods has turned violent. Loyalty, dishonor, love, hatred all seen through the eyes of two spies, fighting a war that may not be real. One follows the other as they receive coded messages and spread destruction. The city is burning, and it's to the benefit of music obsessives everywhere."

Abstract: There is no doubt that architecture is part of a social event. Within this complex global system after the crisis of modernism, social-Communist demonstrations, the digital revolution and the decline of representative institutions of the democratic system, the art take the reins of architecture in the paths of the abstract, irrational, unconscious and ends in the fantastic as a key to success. The concern arises when the architect only to consider the imagination to transform reality.
Keywords: form, psychology, perception, art, being, reality, fantasy, feelings, utopia, movement, sign, meaning, abstraction, media.
1. Introduction
The ideology of the architects of the "third and fourth generation" by Prof. Montaner they would in a time span from 1883 to 1925 were exceptional protagonists of the social and ideological transformations marked with the seal of the two world wars. In the twentieth century and, after several experiments based on authority, whether social democratic, communist or national-communist after World War II presents a neo capitalist, liberal and open in consumption and the relationship between people and acquire a range of diversity role.
The "Gestaltpsycologie" translatable German phrase "psychology of the structure" and "psychology of form" has its origins in the early twentieth century investigations initiated by Paul Guillaume and Von Ehrenfels. According to various theories systematization of the gestalt, claim that the recipient of the ways identified and more easily mentally reconstructs the most simple, regular and symmetrical, following the principles of proximity, equality and closure, identity, density and structure common to cogency, balance and conciseness. This is because human beings do not perceive the ways in which elements, but as wholes. For example, Minimalism is based on the knowledge of the mechanisms of the psychological perception of forms. The distinction between figure and ground is the first psychological mechanism that is used in everyday life, allowing human beings to orientate in the world to be able to establish the perceptual hierarchy to distinguish people and objects within the neutral medium or background on variegated which stand out. Under these assumptions
empirical perception and psychology, "The New Vision" (1929) by László Moholy - Nagy (1895-1946) sets out three times new abstract art core: surface, volume and space. The area would match the old paint and it would dominate the material, texture, color and shapes. The volume would correspond to what was the sculpture and would be based on forms in space, found materials, perforated or interpenetrating parts, which both could be works of art into furniture. Finally, and as the culmination and synthesis, the ubiquitous and intangible space would be the basic stuff of architecture, according to formal principles eminently Neo.
This "new vision" of art or conceptual art as art of the process produces the same effect that explore new "happenings" or minimalist art where the viewer becomes the protagonist who must interpret each work, perceiving the conceptual pieces that form and giving prominence to the figure of the artist. The designer or artist does not have total control and aware of his work, moreover, does not want to have to consider that subtracts "artistic."
2. Philosophical influences, artistic and media
This period is marked by an aesthetic transposition, where the sensitive knowledge is not marked by the quest for beauty but for the belief in progress and future that will shape a new and free infinite space, new plastic forms and abstract musical driven by speed, by a mutant time, instantaneous and dynamic, radically opposed to tradition.
At the same time, modern philosophy has its beginning in Descartes, gives a complete turnaround after thinking it. Since its attempt to base all knowledge on "subjective evidence" starts the "rationalism" and "empiricism" of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, periods of artistic transition key to Expressionism, Dadaism and Surrealism without which can be understood as any artistic endeavor of the twentieth century. Feature Neo will be fundamental in this dynamic equilibrium, the possibility of coexistence in the same time-place of opposites.
Basically, the following philosophical nourish the minds of artists, politicians, scientists and architects of these generations:
a. Kantian idealism, positivism and Marxism. B.
Analytic philosophy, which focuses on the analysis of language. C.
The philosophy of science, which is related to former and is conditioned by the scientism and positivism. D.
Husserl's phenomenology. E.
The existentialism of Heidegger, Sartre and Jaspers. F.
Metaphysics of being, inspiration Aristotelian - Thomist. There
therefore a formal renewal exceeding rational schemata drivers of the modern movement, the International Style. A fresh air to explore the possibility of architecture from the form, to re-look at the past - denied by the enlightened and progressive trend of the XVIII - XIX and stop to watch what is happening in the city after the apparent failure regulator developer of the Charter of Athens.
The growing consumer culture of the visual, disregard the critical interpretations of objects and phenomena to which they refer. The thinking is moved by the feeling. Rationalism and subjectivism incubated.
The inability to make critical take on structuralism find the meaning of objects, their relationships, the relevance of space, the logic of building structures, mechanisms of coordination methods, the reasons for architectural styles, the political and social meanings of language systems.
The concept of form is quite different from that image - that represents the object - and sign. The sign means, however the way it is meant. While the meanings are depleted and vanish, the formal structures remain and are renewing their meanings, can be interpreted different ways.
Thus, the new generation of architects accept the basic premise of discontinuity, pluralism and contrasts. There shall be an aspiration, the union of all the arts in architecture, art and architecture that will leave, unfortunately in denial of reality and focus on the ability of abstraction to validate the existing.
3. Abstraction as an adjective. The experience of the previous.
The abstract, etymologically from the Latin verb "abstrahere" which means removing, separating, extracting. Apparently refers in its most primitive sense, the physical action or separate transitive, take one thing from another (such as water is drawn or removed from the well) and, by extension, the purpose or passion for, ie the fact that something is separated or abstracted. That word does more than summarize an action that - since the advent of homo sapiens - has been doing in cognitive ability.
4. The verb to the adjective unfinished
However, what is an action (verb), English is transformed into an adjective (which is predicated of a noun, eg abstract figure), stating: "That means some quality with exclusion of the subject. "
Finnish Professor Marika Muhonen indicates that can defend the hypothesis that adjectives basic perfective verbal participles are derived from corresponding through a lexical morphology evolution. However - added - is necessary to associate this "perfect" mode of action, if concluded or not.
predicates state change is related to the end of argument "event is" or "eventito was not" where the result is part of the meaning of terms. Some theorists have insisted that the adjectives do not necessarily presuppose perfective status change, it is possible to acquire a certain state without going through a process leading to it. However, that's not right about all the adjectives perfect because you can not say for example "once empty room" that has occurred without the "hollowing out".
The derivation of adjectives through participles is fulfilling two conditions:
a) there perfective value (argument "event")
b) internal argument that has been governed by the verb.
The two conditions have to be met for there to be an adjective derived: abstract (to abstract). adjectival verbs need an inconclusive result, the abstract is not possible without that occurred prior abstraction a subject agent.
5. The abstract
psychological
nineteenth century psychology tries to offer an epistemological view of the abstract. In this plane moves back to the adjective verb, an action properly human.
Abstraction psychic means some action is to know one without stand united in the cause of sensation, or, in knowing that a thing is perceived and, of course also extends to the end. The designation of the immanent action arises.
Ernst Gombrich, British historian and lover of science, from a psychological perspective seeks the roots of logical abstraction. In chapter first looks into the complex thought process that leads to homo primitive state in which his humanity emerge properly. Indicates no difference between construction and useful imaging, investigating the power of image and meaning. Proposed as a modern example if we would equally puncture the body of a doll representing a character or alive, however, poke a piece of paper. In a way, there arises a morbid joy repair or puncturing a doll that someone represents us. Similarly, from 15.000 to 10.000 BC in Altamira, Spain and Lascaux, France, modern archaeologists have to enter with difficulty into a cave to find paintings of bison, mammoths and reindeer distributed without apparent order, remains the power of the image (magic - abstract) over reality (animals / food). Apparently, the mental process of abstraction has not changed in millennia.
6. The external to us: the reality.
What is the root of abstraction? The same principle is found in human physiology. Namely, human beings have senses that allow you to perceive something which we call external reality.
An example: the painter Pablo Picasso makes a delightful engraving of the hen and her chicks (etching, 36x48cm. Natural History Illustration for Jester. 1941-42): straw, chicken, chicks ... very close to what we perceive through our senses, but the painter himself delights us with the cock (Charcoal on paper, 76x55cm, private collection), which aims to reveal - rather than a real bird - his aggressiveness and drawing himself up proudly: a cartoon. Two images of birds collected and abstracted from two opposite ways then synthesized into strokes by the same artist. How can we tell that this is a species of bird without confusing it with another? Why can we understand that the first bird maternal care of their young and in the other drawing himself up proudly flutter?
The reason is not only Comte's positivist epistemology Stuart Mill and positing a sentient knowledge, so that everything is knowable only our senses can perceive. Understood in a comprehensive manner, the cock of Picasso would be unknowable to us since the representation is misleading: what is actually not a rooster.
What would you say Thédorore Géricault's painting with his "Horse Racing at Epsom? (Oil on canvas, 92x122.5cm, Louvre Museum. Paris). In it, Géricault collect four horsemen riding on horses jumping, after the invention of the sequential shooting, shows that Edward Muybridge galloping horses when they never stop touching the ground (A Gallop, 1872. Photo sequence; Museum Kingston-upon-Thames).
7. "The abstract has to do with reality?
So riders painting is abstract and the real picture? For now, we can say with certainty that in both representations is an action: gallop. This action is certainly real, regardless of whether or not touch the horses galloping field. The problem of contemporary arts will be: what is real not abstract or surreal? Apparently, from the contemporary, the point in common with the abstract is the action that will have its ultimate expression in the pictorial expressionism and architectural deconstruction.
Right. Expressionism born in Germany in the early twentieth century, artists created were included from the inside out, by hatching dormant forces, wild bursts of energy and gleaming, glass pyramids and cathedrals of gemstones. Within this movement is the Action Painting ("Action Painting" and "action painting", also translated as "gestural painting). The focus of the "action painting" is a gesture or movement of painting, by the primacy that gave the painting process itself: the discretion to release a large format painting Canvas or "body painting" like that of Kazuo Shiraga whose works are the result of aggressive actions such as full body sculpt or paint with their feet. While surrealism tend to dream.
art is made of a spontaneous gesture. It is a type of automation that captures the physical and mental state of the artist or architect to order. No longer relevant to most media coverage architects are both painters and sculptors. From the analysis the distinctive features of their works will be the anguish and conflict, what is currently considered to reflect the society in which these works emerged.
8. The dream and imitation of organic
organic architecture, in turn, would be one that tries to essentially learn from the ability to adapt, grow and develop in the ways of nature. The twentieth century organicism had its roots in the echoes of the baroque sensuality, given the hedonistic enjoyment of nature illustrated in admiration for the natural and primitive man (Daniel Dafoe, Jean-Jaqcques Rosseau, Claude-Nicolas Ledoux Bernardin de Saint-Pierre). But organicism be no more than a concept and a mechanistic interpretation and creative and romantic can be confusing if it falls into the biological mistake of equating all creation the natural world.
Some features are: a.
Distortion of the ways to provoke emotion. B.
Subordination of the symbolic realism and stylistic expressions, compared to the inner experience. C.
Implicit search of novelty, originality and utopia. D.
Profusion of schemes and works on paper or models with a representation of the concept exploration and deeper than the construction itself. E.
Hybrid solutions, not necessarily simplified to a single concept. F.
Romantic themes of natural phenomena, organicism: concept and a mechanistic interpretation and creative and romantic can be confusing if it falls into the biological mistake of equating all creation to the natural world. G.
Irregular shapes and dynamics.
h. Independent forms of elementary geometry. I.
Anti-composition.
The difference from the surrealism is that it will focus on the subconscious.
In the beginning was planned as a mental attitude as a form of knowledge. In the first manifesto of surrealism, 1924, was defined by its maximum theorist André Breton (1896-1966) as "psychic automatism in its pure state, by which one proposes to express - either verbally, through written words or otherwise - the actual functioning of thought, in the absence of any control exercised by reason, exempt from any aesthetic or moral requirement "(Manifesto of Surrealism, 1985). The basis of surrealism, like psychoanalysis, is the language , reinterpreted as a link between reason and the unconscious. Another essential practice was writing and drawing machines, as practiced by the architects Frank O. Gehry or the Viennese group Coop Himmelb (l) au to let flow design sketching their buildings with closed eyes on a sheet of paper.
9. The reality is that possible?: the artist, the user and the imagined.
Aristotle divided
modes of knowledge in varying degrees of abstraction. Abstraction is an intellectual operation is to separate - some aspect of what it is - to be considered in isolation apart from the rest. A kind of taxonomy of being.
This power of abstraction really identify with the intellectual or rational faculty of man, break through the concrete things, unique, that also know the animals, to keep what they have in common with the essence or concept, regardless of what are the singles. Specifically human function. Precisely, what we call intellect comes from the Latin compound "intus legere" read inside capture the idea or universal separating everything.
Initially, the philosophy governing all human knowledge, namely: the abstractions. Christian Wolf, a disciple of Leibniz, separates into three general groups of subjects: a.
The real philosophy. B.
The philosophy of knowledge. C.
The philosophy of conduct.
The first studies to be and things in general, the second is the great phenomenon that occurs in our minds and that puts us in relation to external things - the knowledge - and the third study the action and the rules govern: complement of know is the acting, reacting on things that we express in knowledge.
In the field of avant-garde art, conceptual art, as art of the process, produces the same effect that explore new "happenings" (ocurriendos) or minimalist art: the viewer becomes the protagonist who must interpret each work, perceiving the conceptual pieces that form and giving prominence to the figure of the artist.
The Dadaists did not intend to do any work completed or emblematic. Its premise was to take the chaos of life as a starting point, without knowing in advance the outcome. His works were based on the spontaneous and irrational gesture, his way of looking unit but was not simultaneous. As the surrealists were Skeptics, denied the established values and put first the vital impulse, based on the philosophy of Henri Bergson based on interpreting the vital experience and memory as a constant flow.
Heraclitean Without belittling the character or neo constant motion, this does not mean a permanent change in reality. While it remains substantial, the accidental changes. Only cause a substantial change in the extent there is a qualitative change such that the substance be transformed into something else as is in power to become that other essence (Ref. WONG, Nicanor. "Being of architecture perception and unity with its object of knowledge. " In arche. Retrieved on November 30, 2009. http://arkhe-noticias.blogspot.com/2009/11/el-ser-de-la-arquitectura-en-la.html).
The thought does not occur spontaneously in a chaotic, in the mind of the subject, but, whatever you want whatever you think, should be subject to forms and laws, which are the very structure of thought. A person not baste your thinking in accordance with an order and therefore we call it illogical, and who have no sense at all under these laws preach that is insane.
This is concatenated with the same abstract action, discussed in the adjectival use of the verb. The abstract is not possible no abstraction occurred "in mentis" in the mind of the artist-architect. A popular saying can help the reader understand the figure: "No one can give what is not." Now, we focus on the process to determine the degree of the objective and subjective.
10. "Nihil est in intellectu quod non prius fuerit in sensu"
The basic theory of knowledge Aristotle argues that the subject is perceived to know not only our external senses, but also by the internal senses are the common sensory (whose function is to group all received by the external senses), fantasy (potential to regroup perceived or otherwise), memory (retention capacity of the perceived) and cogitation or practical intelligence (intuition). These inner senses are not manifested as bodily members or extensions of the body, but as the human brain's own capabilities. What in the fourth century BC was suspected as a primary cognitive property, the twentieth century is able to identify different areas of the cerebral cortex associated with the shares of these senses.
external senses pick up all the stimuli of a reality to be known (intellect). The Aristotle says: "nihil est in intellectu quod non prius fuerit in sensu" (nothing in the intellect that was not first in the senses). What could know a person who from birth has no touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing? Could you elaborate thoughts based on nothing? It would soon be as close to what is medically known as vegetative state.
internal senses is for the retention of the qualities and properties of the known. This process is called first abstraction. Abstraction itself is the stripping of matter and the conditions of matter, capturing the essence.
11. The senses can they be confused?
René Descartes (1596 -1650) is known as the "father of modern philosophy" or "father of rationalism." One of the tenets of his new philosophical method was methodical mistrust or doubt on the senses, how the senses can distinguish the difference between dreams and reality? Respond by saying that knowledge is who sets the reality.
Indeed, mistakes are possible but this does not mean that all our perceptions are illusions, because perfectly distinguish the difference between sleep and wakefulness, hallucinations and realistic sense of perception, etc.
adequate perception is usual in a normal person, with the odd error sensory. In itself, the senses are always true but sometimes can make mistakes, but they only do "per accidens" in the common sensibles, that is, when judged on what is not the object itself (such as seen in the case of representation of the riders and horses from Epsom). Only wrong in themselves sensitive, as a result of failures in the receptor organs or in the middle. It is noteworthy that recent neurological studies confirm that the process of synapses between neurons while in vigil when a person dreams is different.
errors, hallucinations, perceptual illusions, etc., are an indirect confirmation realism, and that show the distinction between truth and error, the possibility of the subject - either through illness or other reasons - will not fit reality. Because man distinguishes between truth and error, it can account for these shortcomings. And, therefore, to rectify the error and see the diversity between the real and apparent. Descartes
Symphony begins the questioning of reality, the Enlightenment, the altars raised to the conceptual to the point of redefining the world as time and before the Revolution (AR) and thereafter (dR).
Although it seems evident the existence of a reality capable of being captured by the senses, the show external reality that is impossible. Indeed, it is impossible to prove the obvious since all proof required "something" that support is what defines which fit within a particular genus and species. Now, there is only what can be proven? Common sense would say no, but the superstructure of philosophy, art and architecture will be carried away by the rush of his own thoughts: only I can think or, as summed Descartes "I think therefore I am." The reality will be only one set of appearances, what we see and the truth will be reserved for dogmatic.
12. The abstract in the intellect of the artist-architect
abstracted
All have two basic characteristics: a.
Is repeatable or multiply numbers (the number is an abstraction). B.
Is not affected by the change (except to look).
High Tech architecture emphasis will be placed beyond the formal values. Be based on the materiality and constructiveness of the project, the emphasis in the joints and knots in the use of modular interpretation and mechanistic ambiguity that good construction is equivalent to good architecture.
capture this distinction the sense once the concept is materialized. So that we can understand the classical thesis that the object of the senses is the singular, whereas the intellect is universal that, in itself, is abstract.
escalator, steel poles, smokestacks tensioners and the Centre Pompidou (France) drawn by architects Piano and Rogers, as to the paraphernalia of the whole structure and facilities seen coating the walls are not subject to time and space. Be as representative as the colorful rooster Picasso because it does not mutate in form. And be always in the mind of the viewer's intellect: they have been abstracted. Being executed
on a specific, individualized, acquires a number of qualities of the elements used to - over time - will wear, but the concept will remain unchanged. But not all artistic and architectural creations have so clear readability.
13. The abstract on the spectator's intellect
Let us now review what we perceive the external agent, the author does not: the viewer or user. There are two distinct types of relationships on the link established between the created by the agent intellect (author) and perceived by the intellect patient (viewer):
a. The contents abstracted by the author, reflected in the work, are objective and real. There is no separation or distinction (characteristic of the abstract action) but simple apprehension. A scholastic aphorism we can illustrate this process: "Mend abstrahentium non est" (it is not false abstracted). B.
The audience, knowing the work (apprehend) is a knowledge of it. Sensitive knowledge that will lead to a physiological stimulus like or dislike, which generates other intellectual judgments and reasoning about it through contemplation (speculation on the subject) and a volitional action. While the first look for the beauty and perfection of his knowledge, the second and third true goodness of it. It is necessary to avoid the ambiguity of beauty and surprise. While the former is based on timeless contemplation second end with an overnight sensation as the repetition of the act.
14. Imaginative speculation on the abstract.
In this regard, it should clarify that the intellect of the artist-architect also speculated imaginatively about their work. For example, while the Florentine painter Raphael, in 1505 leaves us a few sketches, four studies for the Virgin del Prado, which are preserved in the Albertina Gallery in Vienna since the composition of the Virgin Mary, Jesus and John the Baptist was a problem child for it, does not happen the same way with pictorial representations of art. If to determine the authenticity of a Renaissance work is possible to use X-rays and check if the canvas is hidden strokes sketches, in Cubist art, dada and expressionist be impossible since they are paid from the irrational and domestic violence. Say you could check the brand of brush on the oil, cardboard, glass, wood, plaster, metal or paper that make up the collage. While
abstraction - from and the theory of knowledge - has its basis in reality, the separation that makes the human capacity to "inmaterializar" the corporeal in the first instance, can be done over and over again, as in the creation of an algorithm that starts in something that can be experienced and results in a complex abstract system of equations and relationships. This is possible because the process of abstraction is a power, ie, "capacity." Later
precisely the ability to abstract the abstract as the work of Counter-Composition V by Theo van Doesburg (1924), a critical restructuring the horizontal geometry of Piet Mondrian. Van Doesburg in the style but diagonal.
15. The transition from the abstract to the fantastic.
In the first instance, both art and architecture - as social products - communicate something, not only because of cause and effect relationship but to the contrary, the author (cause) prints a message in his or footprint (effect) of itself in a rational and irrational among the many variables that can lead to the creation of something ex novo (new).
The Freudian psycho undertook to explore the inner character, irrational dream of artistic expression, including architecture after modernism: Sverre Fehn with its proposed museum Bispegard Hamar, Nathan Rogers with the war memorial in German concentration camps, Robert Venturi in the courtyard Franklin or Peter Eisenman and Richard Meier with their housing projects. Worth saying that many of them were only in projects and those built, have been essentially transformed.
precisely about the psychic value analytical, Ernst Kris (1900-1957) was published in the journal "Jahrbuch" a work about the sculptor Messerschmidt, famous for his experiments physiognomy. Kris discovered that he was a psychopath and thus their work bonded for the first time the art and psychoanalysis.
Umberto Eco in his Treatise on General Semiotics "tries to unify its semiotic research developed to date to develop a theory Total of all systems of signification and communication and, as usual, artistic expression and aesthetic problem is paradigmatic in his works.
16. The transition from the abstract to the great
Clearly abstraction occurs only on the understanding of the creative subject or the subject viewer. The abstract / real, is inherently contradictory, so much as a hundred lies can not produce a single truth.
The basis of abstraction, some separation or distinction, can not be other than the composition (or perhaps also the precedence) of the object on which the abstract relates.
Now remove each cut out one after another
Copy conscientiously in the order in which they left the bag
The poem will resemble you
And you're a writer, infinitely original and haunting sensitivity, though misunderstood of the vulgar " .
Beyond irony and challenge enthroned by the Dadaist manifestos, along with a strong taste erotic utopias, the cocktail is nothing but emptiness and confusion. Probably his greatest contribution. As much as he could be the deconstruction in architecture, didactically explained by Jan-Christophe Cejka in his book "Trends in Contemporary Architecture."
17. A "new" way of seeing things.
However, peculiar events of the sixteenth to the nineteenth century: the great discoveries of the physical sciences, which have changed our views of the Universe and place in it, the industrialization of production, which transforms scientific knowledge into technology, transformed human environments, which accelerates the pace of life, which generates power and injustice, the demographic changes that displaces millions of people from one place to another chaotic urban growth, the mass communication systems, with large and powerful state bureaucracies and the capitalist market fluctuates.
All this frenzy of cases could be assumed as "modernization", which - in society - are reflected in values and visions of a world that has been and will not know how. The eighteenth and nineteenth century, social revolutions and the crowning of the goddess of Reason was born a collective consciousness of shift to what might be called modern.
In the twentieth century, the spectacular successes of technology, art and thought, make known to man and society contingent limits and within the Universe:
a. The First and Second World Wars and the ensuing Cold War: the human species and its ability to auto deleted. B.
Secularism as eschatological vision and attitude of life beyond my earthly existence, there is nothing. C.
The mass media: press, radio and television, which provide real time information of events worldwide. D.
The emergence of the Internet and access to information and unrestricted communication and ability to hold a second life: real and virtual. E.
The fear of climate change caused by contamination and the disappearance of the human species. However
claims life lost roots. The intelligence, will and feeling are looking for something to fill them. Something that Jackson Pollock One imagined his painting in his paintings as rain dripping where viewers could be lost in their quest to find him. Do not pass unnoticed by the reader who, after the illustration, the utopian and fantastic as the British group Archigram (1961-1970), folds and fractals as Eisenman (1932), Zaha Hadid (1950) or groups OMA and MVRDV.
Utopia features are: a.
Prophetic announces future events. B.
Eschatological references to things past history or future. C.
Scientist: made up of genuinely useful and objective observations. D.
Moralists: recommends ways of conduct for improving society and the individual.
18. Chaos as a design premise and art.
Never, as at present, humanity is in such grave danger of destruction. If the Cold War we feared aggression from nuclear power, now each of us represents a live bomb in the most wonderful product and destructive of the planet: the chaotic city.
Philosophy has given up looking for the truth to limited to a set of interpretations. It is experienced in cultural and social life a relativistic increase in pessimism, skepticism is concealed frivolous with the language of the defense of tolerance without limits. Reina a terrible indifference to the triumph nihilistic thinking of doing.
Chaos Theory will be held in the apparent unpredictability of the systems. Argue that stable physical methods - explained by Newton's laws - are destabilized and disobey their own order, arguing that it would be an extreme form of disorder that occurs in nature, beyond what is knowable and conceptualized, and in the brain, beyond tired of continually set orders and interpretations. While these assumptions are arbitrary and random drawing applicable to mathematical and economic models, their extrapolation to artistic design and architectural beyond utopia to go to the illusion or fantasy.
artistic avant-gardes of the twentieth century are appeals of the fantastic disguise of realism. Characteristics of these avant-garde art indicated by Renato Poggioli in his "Theory of the Avant-Garde" published in 1964 in Revista de Occidente:
a. Activist: desire to intervene. Architects and artists who were left behind by industrialization become idealistic revolutionaries. German expressionism is an example of the art movement activism in politics. B.
Antagonist: the avant-garde opposition seeking to express themselves. It presents to the public, against tradition and tastes accepted. C.
Nihilistic, destructive zeal on the constructive. A break schemes. D.
Agonist: tragic sense of life and existence of the artist. The work and the artist himself enshrined in the immolation. E.
Futuristic and ideological content that is more concerned about the future than the present. F.
Experimentalist: new attitude to walk "almost blind". There is nothing back: "I do not seek, I find" (Pablo Picasso).
All avant-garde art: a.
Cubism (Paris), b.
Futurism (Italy), c.
Expressionism (Germany), d.
Neo plasticity (Netherlands),
e. Purism (Switzerland - France), f.
Dada,
g. Surrealism
proclaimed a new world order that will crush the head of the infernal tradition to create a happy world as interpreted by Huxley.
Dead God (Nietzsche) and the human need to believe in something or someone, the new god must have one essential characteristic: the constant mutability, so that nothing can affect it, that is free from pain, fatigue and illness, that not human. "We seek the creation of a non-human kind has been abolished for whom moral suffering, goodness of heart, affection and love, these corrosive poisons of life energy, our switches powerful bodily electricity, "proposed the Futurists.
Probably nobody like Francis Bacon was able to explore in greater depth in his paintings the keys to this god, hollow, dark, misshapen, divided and corrupt, that is, the negation of being and not sublimation, the fantastical and unreal.
This sublimation of fantasy permeates the architectural forms of the twentieth century and the present. The "machine aesthetic" is replaced by "digital aesthetics", with a whole new delegation of award winners as ostentatious as the Pritzker Peter Eissnman, Frank Gehry, Rem Koolhaas, Bernard Tschumi, Kazuo Shinohara, Daniel Libeskind, Herzog de Meuron, Zaha Hadid, Coop Himmelblau, Arata Isozaki, Julia Boles, Wilson, Enric Miralles, Eric Owen Moss, Philippe Starck, Ralph Erskine ...
19. Fantasy: banality media.
Appear in the media, subject to constant exposure and visibility, the fictionalized life affects all areas within a range of artists and architects with a theorizing of his own work to give them reason themselves. Today it seems that the least popular of the superheroes of the comics would be "the invisible man."
Consecration to media fame precedes the explanation of the work. The necessity and certainty to be kept constant, as a character in front, though not to transmit any message, and public appearances banal, performative, hold attitudes and actions of young and not so young artists and architects who seek to grasp amazing image over reality.
The use of computer tools seem to be due to the new office in a new way of living and relating with their environment from the impersonality of "second life" and "digital architecture." This program is no longer any binary, time and space. Electrical impulses that are engulfed by the cyber space, moving to a fictional world where "the journey" or "promenade architecturale" proposed by Le Corbusier is restricted to an animation "realistic" interactive with the user for a building that just does not exist without a monitor 15 inches or more or On the contrary, as the proposed Elisabeth Diller and Ricardo Scofidio (unfinished, 1992), a house (Slow House) who tried to be full of electronic facilities where the body of the people can choose and interact with a domestic vision to create.
The information society is one of the most complex and incomprehensible to the societies in which mankind has been involved. Take the potential that this complexity can lead, placing subjects only as mediated / mediated, would lead us to ease and banality and, therefore, that all stars and we tend to be critical of the disappearance of ideas and criticism. Our society would become a place where anything goes and where you can create anything: fertile ground for the emergence of figures of little knowledge and value. A standing ovation to the fantastic and imaginary that has taken shape even within schools of architecture. While shaping the future lies in the performance architect on projects "abstract" understanding of meaning of "not real" objectives outlined some institutions methodological practice of fantasy. While the former have some resemblance to the reality of a multidisciplinary exercise and social building complex task (factus), the latter of which is to the spectacle of the image and appearance. The real thing will be secondary in the modern course, utopian. Then gather some maxims of Paris protest May 68. Many of these topics were and are currently budgets elementary art and architecture:
a. "Be realistic: demand the impossible"
b. "Forget everything they learned and begin to dream"
c. "Forbidden to forbid, freedom begins with a ban, "
d. "Imagination to power"
e. Is necessary to explore systematically the chance, "
f. "Comrades outlaw applause, the spectacle is everywhere"
g. "It is necessary to bring itself to put chaos in the world to a dancing star"
h. "The act establishing the conscience,"
i. "Declared a state of permanent happiness,"
j. "The passion of destruction! It is a creative joy, "
k. "A cop sleeping in each one of us, it is necessary to kill"
l. "My desires are reality, "a fantasy ideology summed up in the beautiful John Lennon classic" Imagine. " The problem is to "institutionalize" the fantasy that actually happened in the U.S. and Dutch experiences hippie enclaves, which had a very short shelf life due to domestic violence and anarchy caused by mass consumption of drugs: the same hippies fled in fear of their "social utopia." Reduce
understanding the twenty-first century society but this is false. The multiplicity of media opens up new avenues of expression and lead to creative interaction of thought. The premise should be working from the bowels of this society hiperinformada and chaotic digital construction to extract it not only the material that enables us to rediscover the substance with which to build an architecture in line with the reality of today's society.
20. The reality is in the being of things
"I think in the stark reality of the finished work one can see clearly the essence of a project, the consistency of ideas. I firmly believe that the architecture needs the support of matter, that the former is inseparable from the latter. The architecture comes when our thoughts about it acquire the real condition that can provide only materials. In the act of building the architecture becomes what it truly is "hold the English architect Rafael Moneo.
utopias of the twentieth century avant-garde and banality media have left a legacy of thousands of spectacular architectural projects budget out of reach of governments or organizations in countries that are not in the first world. Museums have assumed the role of exhibition gallery, where the premium for its unusual ephemeral temporality, while the side is permanent. Interestingly, are the art galleries, railway stations, airports and entertainment centers favorite topic of late modern architecture: everything that is transient, low in the living entity.
Moreover, in the visual arts, ranging from experimental path followed by the heels for the digitization of the same or digital art that mixes not only the visual perception but also the hearing. "The essential feature of the modern artist who seeks to make the leap to the abstract beauty irreversible and final would be his rebellion against subordination to the mimesis of reality" Josep Maria Montaner say, a matter that the English philosopher Jose Ortega y Gasset as a process clarifies dehumanization of art and that the level reaches the fantastic is such that the difficulty of understanding of the work is undeniable.
In summary, nine points of the dehumanization that - as you can show the reader - match media banality:
a. Desire for originality and innovation. B.
Secrecy, which makes it difficult to understand, is fleeing the exact reference. C.
Self-sufficiency of art: it calls itself pure and authentic. D.
Antirealism and antiromanticism: the poem should not mean, but merely appear, on the other hand, is shunned romantic subjectivism. E.
Surrealism: logical inconsistency, the importance of the subconscious and dreams. F.
Inconsequential: unconcerned, waiver responsibility for extra-artistic reality, and moralism. G.
Prevalence of metaphor.
h. Dream writing: connected with Surrealism. I.
Atomization, breakup, break logical connections.
Moneo says that previously, the architects sought reality first and then the drawings with which they could describe these thoughts. Today, it is the opposite. However, what the architecture of menhirs was drawn before it was built? Nobody knows, but the fact is that this construction of the 4.000 BC Neolithic remains amazing, beautiful, mysterious in its use and - certainly - actually evokes some previously known and learned.
Immediacy, and attitude of the creative intellect, ruling his work in a purely personal expression. You lose contact with society and enters infinite regurgitation private. However, the common architectural work, could never escape the area and public engagement. That is why media production of this century is as unintelligible and timely as each of their designers: mere scuffles, ephemeral and contingent.
Of all the figurative and plastic arts, architecture is probably is one in which the distance between the artist and his work is great. A painter, sculptor, can leave their mark directly on the canvas or stone; his personality is attached to your work. This does not happen in the architecture, rather than be forced to do so. Building is a property of self-reliance, independence of the agent intellect thought of something that no longer belongs to him is more, the same building is usually clear to its creator and remain without it.
The return to reality, what our senses pick up and can be seen clearly by any intellect, through a material can only be achieved when the artist-architect are original, ie, return to the origin of his action: being of things on the fantastic.
